Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1 – Sipi Falls Arrival & Waterfall Hike

Depart early from Kampala or Jinja and journey to Sipi Falls, arriving by midday. After lunch, join a local guide for a hike to all three waterfalls, winding through farms, cliffs, and forested trails. Adventurous guests can opt to abseil beside one of the falls (optional). In the evening, relax at your lodge with views of the valley below and a cup of locally brewed coffee.

  • Day 2 – Coffee Tour & Transfer to Pian Upe

Start your day with a coffee experience, where you'll roast and brew your own cup with local farmers. Then drive north to Pian Upe Game Reserve, arriving in time for a sunset game drive through this rugged and little-visited landscape. Spot zebras, elands, ostriches, and—if lucky—cheetahs in one of Uganda’s wildest reserves. Overnight at a safari camp or lodge near the reserve.

  • Day 3 – Road Trip to Kidepo & Evening Wildlife Drive

After breakfast, continue your journey deeper north toward Kidepo Valley National Park, arriving in the afternoon. Enjoy lunch with a view, then head out for an evening game drive in the Narus Valley. Expect herds of buffalo, giraffes, elephants, and possibly big cats. End the day with dinner at your lodge and stargazing in the wild.

  • Day 4 – Full-Day Safari & Karamojong Cultural Visit

Rise early for a sunrise safari, exploring different parts of the park including the open plains, dry riverbeds, and rocky hills. Return for brunch, then in the afternoon visit a Karamojong village to learn about their pastoralist lifestyle, unique housing, dances, and oral traditions. Return to camp for your final dinner in the wild.

  • Day 5 – Return Journey to Kampala or Gulu

After breakfast and one last moment to take in the remote beauty of Kidepo, begin your return journey south. Depending on your next destination, you can be dropped in Gulu, Soroti, or head all the way back to Kampala, arriving by evening with your memory card full and heart completely full.
