How did you hear about us?

Mount Elgon is one of East Africa’s most spectacular yet under-explored giants. With its extinct shield volcano, expansive caldera, dramatic rim walks, and rich biodiversity, it’s a dream for hikers and nature lovers. This 7-day version is crafted especially for families and adventurous travelers who want to balance challenge with comfort and exploration.

You’ll begin in the eastern foothills—visiting waterfalls, local villages, and coffee farms. As you ascend, the forest gives way to bamboo, heath, and moorland, with sweeping vistas and rare species along the way. The summit day leads you to Wagagai Peak (4,321 m), where you can gaze into the caldera and across Uganda and Kenya.

Descent brings you down through contrasting ecosystems, back to lively villages, and wraps up with cultural encounters, coffee tours, and the satisfaction of having scaled one of Uganda’s majestic mountains. This route is paced so families and mixed-ability trekkers can enjoy every step without rush.

Anchored by a mix of lodges and camps, supported by expert guides and porters, this journey balances thrill and accessibility.
