Base Camp is located at the entrance of Murchison Falls National Park, providing convenient access to Uganda’s top wildlife and adventure experiences. We plan to expand to other key destinations across East Africa.
Yes! While we recommend staying with us for a seamless experience, you can book any of our tours and safaris independently. Our team can also arrange transport from your preferred accommodation.
We recommend packing light, breathable clothing, sturdy shoes, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars, and a camera. For gorilla trekking, waterproof gear and gloves are also advised.
We accept cash (UGX, USD, EUR), mobile money, bank transfers, and major credit/debit cards. Online payment options are also available for advance bookings.
Yes! Base Camp actively supports community-driven initiatives, and we welcome visitors interested in responsible tourism, cultural exchanges, and conservation efforts.
Uganda is a year-round destination, but the best wildlife viewing months are during the dry seasons from December to February and June to September when animals gather around water sources.
For the safety and comfort of all guests, pets are not allowed at Base Camp Lodge at the moment. However, service animals may be accommodated with prior arrangement.
