Begin in Jinja, the adventure capital of East Africa, where the Nile River roars into action. Choose your adventure—white water rafting, kayaking, tubing, or a mellow boat cruise to the Source of the Nile. After a day on (or above!) the water, enjoy riverside dining, local music, and an overnight stay in one of Jinja’s vibrant lodges.

Next, head north to Murchison Falls, Uganda’s oldest and largest national park. Here, the Nile explodes through a narrow gorge, forming the thunderous falls that give the park its name. Game drives across the savannah will bring you close to elephants, giraffes, lions, and buffaloes, while a boat cruise to the base of the falls adds hippos, crocs, and birdlife to your checklist.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Jinja & River Adventure
Depart early from Kampala and travel east to Jinja, enjoying roadside views of plantations and bustling local markets. Upon arrival, check in and gear up for your choice of adventure: white water rafting, tubing, kayaking, or a relaxing boat ride to the Source of the Nile. After the activity, unwind with a late lunch and enjoy the lively atmosphere of Uganda’s adventure town. In the evening, gather for a group dinner and optional nightlife or storytelling by the river.
Day 2 – Travel to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, begin your scenic overland journey north to Murchison Falls National Park, stopping for lunch along the way. Arrive in the late afternoon and check in to your lodge or camp. If time allows, enjoy a sunset game drive as the animals begin to stir and the landscape glows golden. Dinner is served at camp under a sky full of stars.
Day 3 – Big 5 Safari & Nile Boat Cruise
Start early with a sunrise game drive across the Buligi tracks, a prime area for spotting elephants, giraffes, warthogs, buffalo, and—if you’re lucky—lions or leopards. Return for a hearty breakfast and some downtime before heading out again in the afternoon for the famous Nile boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls. Watch hippos, crocodiles, and birds along the riverbank before witnessing the thunderous power of the falls. Return to camp for a group dinner and fireside storytelling.
Day 4 – Top of the Falls Hike & Return to Kampala
After breakfast, check out and head to the Top of Murchison Falls. Here, you’ll hike to the viewpoint where the Nile squeezes through a 7-meter gorge in a jaw-dropping display of nature’s force. After photos and fresh air, begin your journey back to Kampala, with lunch en route. Arrival is expected in the early evening.
