Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1 – Travel to Kibale & Crater Lakes Stop

    Depart from Kampala or Fort Portal and head west toward Kibale Forest National Park. Along the way, stop for a scenic walk or lunch near the Fort Portal crater lakes, with views of rolling tea plantations and distant mountain ranges. Arrive in Kibale in the afternoon, check in to your forest lodge, and relax under the rainforest canopy before dinner.


  • Day 2 – Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Wetland Walk

    After an early breakfast, head to the Kibale Forest Visitor Center for a briefing before your chimpanzee tracking adventure. Your expert guide will lead you through the forest trails in search of a habituated chimp family—an experience full of energy, sound, and emotion. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, spotting monkeys, hornbills, and learning about local conservation. Return to your lodge for a peaceful evening and dinner.


  • Day 3 – Optional Coffee Experience & Return Journey

    Enjoy a relaxed morning and, if time allows, take an optional community coffee tour to see how local beans are grown, roasted, and brewed. Then begin your return journey to Kampala, Fort Portal, or your next destination—arriving in the afternoon with stories of the forest and faces of the chimps etched in your memory.
